Actor Randeep Hooda is poised to collaborate once again with renowned director Sam Hargrave for the eagerly awaited action thriller, Matchbox, produced by Apple Original Films. This project marks their second partnership following the tremendous success of Extraction (2020), the Netflix blockbuster that garnered global acclaim and brought the two artists together.

Matchbox is a live-action adaptation inspired by Mattel's legendary toy vehicle series, Matchbox Cars. In this film, Randeep Hooda will share the screen with international stars such as John Cena, Teyonah Parris, Jessica Biel, and Sam Richardson. Currently in production in Budapest, the film is expected to deliver an exhilarating blend of high-octane action and gripping drama. Sam Hargrave, known for his work on Avengers: Endgame and Extraction 2, directs the film, while the screenplay is crafted by David Coggeshall and Jonathan Tropper.

The narrative centres around a group of childhood friends who must unite to avert a global catastrophe while rekindling the profound connections they once enjoyed. Matchbox draws its inspiration from the beloved Matchbox toy cars, originally created in 1953 by Jack Odell. The film's association with this iconic toy line, which sells two cars every second globally, adds a nostalgic and exciting element for audiences. With Hargrave's signature action-oriented direction and an impressive cast, Matchbox is set to be an exhilarating cinematic experience.

In addition to this project, Randeep Hooda is engaged in several other promising ventures. He is currently filming Jaat, a romantic survival drama, and is also involved with Arjun Ustara.
