A source informed Mid-Day, "The second installment is likely to commence in the summer, with Ranbir anticipated to participate by June." The actor is currently engaged with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love And War, which is why he is unable to shoot for Ramayana part 2 until he has completed his prior commitments.

Nitesh Tiwari is presently filming Ramayana without Ranbir, as the significant scenes requiring the actor have already been completed. Due to scheduling conflicts, Ranbir could not allocate additional time for the film, leading to the decision to proceed with his body double for the remaining sequences.
