Chhabra believes that the tranquil expression on Kapoor's face made it necessary for the film. Tiwari had envisioned Kapoor in this role quite early on, and he believes it’s a decision that will resonate with the audience once they see the film.

Aside from the two-part Ramayana series, rumours have circulated about a Hanuman spin-off that could add a third chapter to this epic tale. Ramayana has Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Yash as Raavan, and Sai Pallavi as Sita, among other notable actors.
