Bollywood is currently preparing for a series of sequels, with Brahmastra 2 being one of the most eagerly awaited. This film continues the story from the first installment featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, and it has generated significant anticipation among fans nationwide. The initial film, Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, premiered in 2022, and since then, audiences have been looking forward to the commencement of the sequel. Until recently, there had been minimal updates regarding its development. However, Ranbir Kapoor has now provided insights into the film's timeline. Here is what you need to know.

Ranbir Kapoor Offers Update on Brahmastra 2

Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, which starred Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan, is the first segment of a planned trilogy, crafted by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. During a casual media interaction, Ranbir Kapoor disclosed when the production of Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev is expected to commence.

Kapoor mentioned that Ayan Mukerji is currently focused on War 2, and following the release of the Hrithik Roshan-led film, he will initiate pre-production for Brahmastra 2. Regarding Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev, Ranbir stated, "Brahmastra 2 is a project that Ayan has envisioned for a long time—the entire narrative of Brahmastra. As you are aware, he is presently engaged with War 2. Once that film is out, he will start pre-production on Brahmastra 2."

Ranbir also affirmed that Brahmastra 2 is indeed in the works: "It is definitely happening. We haven’t made many announcements yet, but we will share some exciting news about Brahmastra 2 soon." Although the actor did not disclose additional specifics, this update is sufficient to maintain fan enthusiasm for the upcoming project.

War 2 Update

Recently, it was reported that War 2 will include an exciting dance face-off between Jr. NTR and Hrithik Roshan. This announcement generated considerable enthusiasm, given both actors' remarkable dancing abilities—one of whom has even received an Oscar for the song "Naatu Naatu" from RRR. However, the latest news indicates that Hrithik Roshan has sustained a leg injury during rehearsals for the dance sequence, resulting in the postponement of the song's shoot to May.

According to a source speaking to Bollywood Hungama, "Hrithik Roshan really exerted himself during rehearsals for this dynamic song with NTR Jr. for War 2. He developed a minor leg issue that became increasingly uncomfortable. Upon examination, doctors recommended that he refrain from any additional strain and take time to rest before filming this significant song!"

The source further mentioned, "The grand dance-off in War 2 featuring Hrithik and NTR Jr. is now scheduled to be filmed in May. All the main cast members have completed their respective shoots, and the film is currently in post-production. This slight delay will not impact the film's promotional or marketing strategies. War 2 remains on track for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2025!"
