Since the producers pulled off a casting coup by assembling Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Sai Pallavi for the timeless story commemorating the victory of good over evil, the Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has been the most anticipated film in Indian cinema.

According to Pinkvilla sources, Ranbir has completed 90% of Ramayana: Part One since the filming started in March 2024. The insider said that the actor had given Namit Malhotra and Tiwari a lot of dates to play Lord Ram, and they've been so professional that they've finished shooting ahead of schedule.

After wrapping up Ramayana: Part One, Ranbir will begin filming Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, in the first week of October. According to the source, Tiwari and the DNEG are currently in the process of creating the film's introduction video, which they intend to release shortly. It is worth noting that the filmmaker has already planned the shooting schedule for Ramayana: Part One till July 2025. Yash, who portrays Ravana in the epic, begins filming in December 2024, according to a source.

The insider revealed that the actor is prepared to begin filming in December 2024 after undergoing multiple appearance tests for his character in Ramayana. Next, he completes Toxic, directed by Geethu Mohandas, and then moves on to the epic. One of the most multi-faceted characters in the Ramayana is someone he is eager to delve into.

Sunny Deol cast as Lord Hanuman in Ramayana

Sunny Deol will assume the role of Lord Hanuman in the summer of 2025, while Yash will continue filming Ramayana: Part One until the first quarter of next year. After wrapping shooting Border 2, Deol begins filming Ramayana. Just like Ranbir, the veteran actor has given Malhotra and Tiwari a lot of shooting dates for his role in the Ramayana franchise.

Midway through 2025, the filmmaker and crew intend to film the portions starring Deol and Kapoor together. The makers are currently working on the visual effects for the already-shot portion of Ramayana: Part One, and they anticipate wrapping up the epic starring all characters by August 2025.
