Hrithik Roshan and his dad, Rakesh Roshan, were recently out and about promoting their docu-series, The Roshans, which dives into their family's incredible legacy. While chatting during the promo, Rakesh let slip some details about Krrish 4, a film that all Hrithik fans are super excited for. In an interview with Gaana, the filmmaker mentioned that the huge budget is what's holding things up. He explained that because the film is on such a grand scale, managing the finances has been a bit tricky.

Senior Roshan mentioned that he’s been waiting for quite a while, but he’s struggling with the budgeting. He feels the scale of the film is huge, and if he downsizes it, it ends up looking like an average movie. He pointed out that the world feels smaller now, and today’s kids have seen so many superhero films that they’ll pick apart any little flaw they notice"

Rakesh Roshan points to Marvel and DC as examples

He also mentioned Marvel and DC as examples, explaining that his budget just can't match that scale. Rakesh Roshan said, "We need to be really cautious. We can't make films at that level (like Marvel or DC). We simply don't have that kind of money. Our budget limits us... We have to focus more on the story. Sure, there will be some big sequences in the film, but if there aren't 10, there might only be 2 or 3."

It looks like Hrithik Roshan's fans are going to have to hang tight a bit longer before they see him back as Krrish. The franchise has some great films, including Koi Mil Gaya with Hrithik and Preity Zinta, Krrish with Priyanka Chopra, and Krrish 3 where he starred alongside Kangana Ranaut.
