Rajkummar Rao has indeed been having a super great time at the box office as his film Srikanth recently walked past the Rs 50 crore mark and the actor celebrated the milestone. While the biopic is still on the big screen, the actor reunited with his Roohi star Janhvi Kapoor as they witnessed the release of their second collaboration titled Mr & Mrs Mahi. A film that stars both the actors as man and wife and explores their marriage as they both have a common passion for cricket. The film that hit the theatres on May 31, last Friday, opened to mixed responses from the critics and that had somewhere raised concerns for the movie that had rather impressed many with its trailer. 

Mr & Mrs Mahi First Weekend Box Office

However, turns out the movie has managed to hold itself decent in the first weekend of its release and has been consistent at earning a good number. At the end of the first weekend, the movie stands on a good collection that marks a decent trajectory. Mr & Mrs Mahi as per Sacnilk has managed to stay consistent around the Rs 6 crore mark that it set on day one and is now close to Rs 17 crore strong in total by the end of Sunday, which was the very first weekend for the movie. The Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer romantic sports drama where Kapoor reunites with her Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl director Sharan Sharma and her Roohi co-star Rajkummar Rao has fared well. The movie that saw a drop on day two has now earned Rs 5.50 crore in India net on day three. This means the total collection of the movie after the completion of the first weekend stands at Rs 16.85 crore.

Mr & Mrs Mahi enjoyed a 22.24 percent Hindi occupancy on Sunday and that is a good number for a film that opened to disappointing reviews. However, the movie on day one had earned Rs 6.75 crore and on day two earned Rs 4.6 crore. However, the litmus test begins now as it ends the first week beyond the weekend. It will be interesting to see whether the movie manages to keep the momentum constant or growing in the weekdays too.
