They didn’t really explain the reason behind their posts, but it comes on the heels of rumors that Prime Video might be scrapping their new series, Gulkanda Tales, and that Netflix's Rakt Bramhand has been hit with some financial fraud issues.

Raj & DK shared their commitment to their work, no matter the challenges they face. In their post, they mentioned, "Sometimes, life throws you a curveball, and you have to decide how to respond. For us, the choice has always been straightforward—keep our heads down and stick to our grind. Work harder. Improve.

They also took a moment to reflect on their journey. While they’re deep into production on their most ambitious project yet, fresh off wrapping up season 3 of The Family Man, and juggling a few other films and shows in the pipeline, they realized they’re right where they want to be. Crafting stories one after another, just the way they envision, alongside the people they enjoy working with, and putting in the hours all year round :)

Claims about the cancellation of Gulkanda Tales and accusations of financial fraud in Rakt Brahmand

The ambitious new show from the duo, Gulkanda Tales, was reportedly put on hold by Prime Video on Tuesday, as per Bollywood Hungama. Meanwhile, an undisclosed amount between ₹2-3 crore is said to have been taken from the production and is currently with the executive producer of their other project, Rakt Bramhand, according to a separate report by Peeping Moon.

Gulkanda Tales, a historical sex comedy, stars Kunal Kemmu, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee. The show is directed by Barve and produced by Raj and DK for Prime Video. On the other hand, Rakt Bramhand is a fantasy action series for Netflix, also directed by the trio, featuring Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi in leading roles.
