The highly anticipated trailer for Raid 2 has been released, showcasing a blend of intense action and drama. It invites viewers to prepare for an exhilarating confrontation between Ajay Devgn, portraying an upright IRS officer, and a corrupt politician, played by Riteish Deshmukh.

The trailer debuted in Mumbai on Tuesday, attended by the film's cast and crew. It opens with a dramatic introduction of IRS officer Amay Patnaik, who is set to undertake another perilous mission. This time, his focus is on a formidable politician, portrayed by Riteish Deshmukh. As the trailer progresses, it becomes evident that the mission is fraught with significant dangers, yet Ajay Devgn is supported by a robust team. Together, they are determined to dismantle any obstacles in their path, motivated by their resolve to eliminate black money.

The trailer escalates the tension with a power struggle between Ajay Devgn and Riteish, filled with exhilarating sequences. Additionally, it incorporates nostalgic elements, referencing Ajay's earlier mission depicted in the first installment, Raid.

Hints of a multifaceted conflict between Ajay and Riteish are evident, including a mention of Ajay devising a "chakravyuh" and alluding to the Mahabharat. At one point, Ajay declares, “Main poori Mahabharat la raha hun,” suggesting that his approach to outsmart Riteish will be intricate and strategic.

The trailer also introduces a refreshing element with glimpses of Vaani Kapoor as Ajay Devgn's wife, adding a layer of emotional depth to the storyline. Furthermore, Saurabh Shukla's role enhances the tension, elevating the overall excitement of the film.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 is scheduled for theatrical release on May 1. This film serves as a sequel to Ajay's Raid, which premiered in 2018. Set in 1981, the narrative follows an income tax officer in Lucknow who confronts the 'powerful corrupt' to assist the underprivileged. Raj Kumar Gupta, known for his previous works Aamir and No One Killed Jessica, directs this installment. The cast also includes Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla.
