Raid 2, featuring Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, is among the most anticipated films of 2025. This sequel to the 2018 hit is scheduled to premiere in theaters on May 1, 2025. The film, a high-energy crime thriller, delves into themes of truth, justice, and courage. In anticipation of its release, the producers released the trailer today, April 8, which appears to be highly promising.

Raid 2 trailer is out

The 2-minute and 34-second trailer opens with Ajay Devgn portraying IRS officer Amay Patnaik. He exudes confidence and determination as he prepares to confront a white-collar criminal, Dadabhai (played by Riteish Deshmukh), in a gripping confrontation over a Rs 4,200 crore scam. The trailer presents an engaging storyline between the two leads, filled with excitement and suspense. In addition to Ajay Devgn, Deshmukh's intriguing new role as a powerful politician is noteworthy. Vaani Kapoor is also poised to demonstrate her acting skills in this film.

Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar. It is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, and produced by Panorama Studios. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film is set for a theatrical release on May 1, 2025.

In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, director Raj Kumar Gupta discussed Raid 2, stating, “I cannot disclose the direction of the story at this moment. We will discuss that closer to the release. Currently, the film is in the editing phase after completing filming. That is all I can share about Raid 2 for now.”

He commended Ajay Devgn, noting that he has come to appreciate Ajay's intelligence as an actor since the first Raid film, emphasizing his understanding of the project he is involved in.

“He consistently embodies his character, regardless of the role. He is always well-prepared on set and possesses a deep understanding of the film, its context, and the environment,” Gupta remarked.

In addition, Raid 2 features performances by Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Supriya Pathak, Amit Sial, and Yashpal Sharma, among others, and is scheduled for release on May 1, 2025.
