Racharikam is a social drama that took over a year to produce. After facing numerous delays, it finally premiered on January 31, 2025. The film is making headlines again as it has secured its OTT partner. According to recent news, Lionsgate Play has acquired the digital rights for a modest fee.

Additionally, Lionsgate Play will start streaming Racharikam on April 11, 2025. Apsara Rani stars as the female lead, alongside the experienced Varun Sandesh in a significant role. Directed by Suresh Lankalapalli, the film tackles a heavy subject but unfortunately didn't perform well at the box office.

Set in the small town of Rachakonda in 1980, Apsara Rani and Varun Sandesh portray siblings in the story. This film marked Apsara Rani's return to Telugu cinema after a long hiatus, and she captivated audiences with her powerful performance.

A standout feature of the film is Varun Sandesh's unexpected turn as the antagonist. His intense performance left everyone stunned, but unfortunately, it didn't translate into box office success. The production team faced a tough time securing an OTT platform, but they’ve finally managed to get the film ready for release on Lionsgate Play soon.

A major highlight of the movie is the interval scene, where a crucial twist is unveiled in a spectacular way. Varun Sandesh has been busy with multiple projects and was counting on this film to make a comeback, but that didn’t pan out as hoped.

Racharikam boasts a solid supporting cast, featuring talents like Hyper Aadi, Rangasthalam Mahesh, Vijaya Ramarao, Srikanth Iyengar, Mahboob Basha, Roopesh Marapu, Prachi Thakur, Latha, and Eswar.
