Bollywood's IT couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have teamed up yet again for another project. The duo will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film, Love & War. Apart from them, the film also stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. The actors took social media by storm when they announced their union earlier this year. Interestingly, Ranbir has joined hands with Bhansali after a long seventeen years. The Animal actor made his Bollywood debut with Bhansali's-directorial, Saawariya in 2007.  Meanwhile, the new reports have unfolded interesting details about Ranbir and Vicky's characters in Love & War, and we definitely can't keep calm.

A while ago, ETimes exclusively reported that Kapoor and Kaushal will be portraying military officers, and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has personally requested the actors to work on their physical transformations to resemble real servicemen. Both Ranbir and Vicky had previously gained weight and made toned body shapes for their films Animal and Chhava, respectively. The Sanju duo coming together will be a treat for the audience. However, Alia's character details remain a mystery.

The source also told the portal that the epic romance drama is the modern version of Raj Kapoor’s 1964 film, Sangam.

Meanwhile, according to a report by Pinkvilla, the rumored narrative of Love & War suggested that the film will focus on Ranbir’s action sequences, his brotherly friendship with Vicky, and the trio's romance, and the climax will be filled with conflict, involving the three of them together.

Whether these rumors are right or wrong, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali confirmed one thing for sure the love triangle between Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky will be epic, which Bollywood hasn't witnessed before. In an interview with Variety, he revealed that the film will offer a fresh and unique take on the classic love triangle trope, exploring complexities, and emotional nuances.

Ranbir, Alia and Vicky's Love & War is slated to hit theatres on Christmas 2025.
