On his 40th birthday, the title of actor Ram Charan's 16th film was revealed, accompanied by his first look. On Thursday, director Buchi Babu Sana took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share posters for the film, which is now officially titled Peddi, having previously been referred to as RC16.

In the posters, Charan embodies a powerful, grounded, and authentically rugged persona. The initial poster presents him in a stark, straightforward manner, featuring intense eyes, disheveled hair, an unkempt beard, and a nose ring.

He is dressed in a red striped outfit and is seen smoking a cigar. The second poster depicts him with an antique cricket bat, set against the backdrop of a village stadium aglow with floodlights. In sharing the posters, the director expressed, “Happy Birthday my Dear @AlwaysRamCharan Sir..In one word, you are Gold Sir. Thank you for everything, Sir.”

The cast of the film includes Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma. The screenplay for Peddi has been crafted by Buchi Babu Sana and is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner.
Venkata Satish Kilaru serves as the producer, with music composed by AR Rahman. The cinematography is handled by R Rathnavelu, while Avinash Kolla is responsible for production design. Editing is managed by Navin Nooli, and VY Praveen Kumar takes on the role of executive producer. Filming is scheduled to commence shortly.

Ram Charan's most recent appearance was in the film Game Changer, which unfortunately did not perform well at the box office. Released in theaters on January 10, the movie features Kiara Advani alongside Charan and is directed by S Shankar.
