On Thursday, international Test cricketer R Ashwin shared a character promotional video on his Instagram account featuring Siddharth as Arjun in the forthcoming film titled 'Test'. The narrative centres on Siddharth's character, who faces significant challenges in his career due to being deemed out of form, and his journey to reclaim his position.

In the teaser, Siddharth portrays Arjun, recognized as one of the premier batsmen on the Indian cricket team. However, for the past two seasons, he has been regarded as out of form due to his lacklustre performances. Following an injury sustained during a match, he is advised to announce his retirement.

Despite this, Arjun believes he still has the potential to excel. He expresses, "I want one more chance to lead India to victory." Faced with intense media scrutiny and personal challenges, he dedicates himself to rigorous practice to regain his form. The teaser concludes with a glimpse of his character making a triumphant return to the field. Will he succeed in proving his critics wrong?

In sharing the teaser, R Ashwin expressed in his caption, "Observing @worldofsiddharth in 'Test' is akin to witnessing a cricketer who has dedicated years to the sport. His profound technical knowledge and passion for cricket were apparent in his preparation, and now, as it unfolds on screen, I am confident that this film will hold special significance for him. Regarding his role, Siddharth remarked, “Arjun’s narrative embodies passion and sacrifice. TEST transcends the typical sports film; it delves into the choices that shape our identities. I eagerly anticipate audiences immersing themselves in his journey on Netflix.”

The film also features R Madhavan, Meera Jasmine, and Nayanthara, and is set to premiere on Netflix on April 4.
