Rahul Bose and Mallika Sherawat's romantic comedy film Pyaar Ke Side Effects has completed 18 years since its theatrical release. Directed by Saket Chaudhary, the movie hit the silver screen on September 15, 2006. Pyaar Ke Side Effects marked Saket's directorial debut in Bollywood while he also wrote the movie. The film, which also starred Ranvir Shorey, portrayed the intricacies of a modern relationship. Saket Chaudhary on Pyaar Ke Side Effects

In an old interview with Rediff, filmmaker Saket Chaudhary said it was difficult to get a producer for his film. The director said, "I approached Rahul Bose first, and he agreed to be a part of the film after reading the script. But I did not have a producer then. It wasn't a typical Hindi film, so getting a producer was tough. After a year, I had virtually given up the idea of getting one."
