Pushpa 2 box office collection on day 10: There’s been a ton of buzz around Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, drawing in even those who weren’t fans of the first movie. The chatter—both positive and negative—has really helped the film, which has now raked in over a thousand crores globally, a milestone reached by only a few films. As Pushpa 2 continues to thrive in its second weekend, the day 10 earnings show that it has outperformed SS Rajamouli’s RRR in lifetime Indian box office revenue by a considerable amount.
Pushpa 2 Surpasses RRR’s Total Earnings
RRR, featuring Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, and a huge cast, was the top film of 2022 and a standout release of the decade. It snagged an Oscar for Best Song (Naatu Naatu), broke records, and soared to incredible heights at the global box office during its run. Reports say RRR raked in a lifetime Indian box office total of Rs 782.2 crore, which is an impressive number for most films. But now, Pushpa 2 has taken that record to a whole new level.
According to Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 pulled in around Rs 62.3 crore on its 10th day in India. The Hindi version alone brought in Rs 46 crore, outpacing all other languages. The Telugu version made Rs 13 crore, while Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions earned Rs 2.5 crore, Rs 0.45 crore, and Rs 0.35 crore, respectively. This brings the total Indian collection to Rs 824.5 crore, proving that Allu Arjun’s film has left RRR in the dust.
Pushpa 2: The Rule, featuring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, and more, is the much-anticipated follow-up to the 2021 hit. It's been creating a ton of excitement and, in just a week since its release, it’s already the top-grossing film of 2024 and one of the most awaited flicks of the year.
Directed by Sukumar, this sequel continues right where the first movie left off. Pushpa is now in a happy marriage, but the threat from Shekhawat still looms large. The plot explores Pushpa’s struggle with his family name, aiming to tackle that issue head-on. I won’t give away any more details to avoid spoiling the story.
