Pushpa 2: The Rule box office performance has shown a decline after an impressive start since its release on December 5 of the previous year. According to Sacnilk.com, the film recorded its lowest earnings to date on Monday, generating just over ₹60 lakh. The lead role is portrayed by actor Allu Arjun.

In terms of box office figures, Pushpa 2 amassed ₹725.8 crore in its first week, followed by ₹264.8 crore in the second week, ₹129.5 crore in the third week, ₹69.65 crore in the fourth week, ₹25.25 crore in the fifth week, and ₹9.7 crore in the sixth week. On its 44th day, the film earned ₹95 lakh; on the 45th day, it collected ₹1.1 crore, and on the 46th day, it garnered ₹1.5 crore. Preliminary estimates indicate that on day 47, Pushpa 2 collected ₹65 lakh across all languages, bringing its total net earnings in India to ₹1228.90 crore.

Regarding Pushpa 2: The Rule, the film has set new benchmarks since its debut, surpassing Baahubali 2: The Conclusion to become the second highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, the film features Allu Arjun alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, who reprise their roles as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, respectively. This film serves as a sequel to the 2021 hit Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise.

Pushpa 2's tragic incident

A tragic event occurred just one day prior to the film's release at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, where Allu Arjun and the film's team were present for promotional activities. On December 4, 2024, during the premiere of Pushpa 2, a woman named Revathi lost her life, and her child, Sri Teja, was left in critical condition.

The unfortunate incident unfolded as a large crowd gathered outside the Sandhya Theatre to see the actor. Following the event, Arjun was arrested but subsequently released on bail. In January, he visited Sri Teja at KIMS Hospital in Begumpet, Hyderabad, and provided financial support to the grieving family. His father, film producer Allu Aravind, announced a donation of ₹2 lakh.
