The film initially garnered ₹725.8 crore net during its opening week and experienced a notable increase in revenue during the second week. It achieved ₹36.4 crore net on its second Friday, accumulating ₹63.3 crore and ₹76.6 crore over the weekend. Throughout the week, Pushpa 2: The Rule earned ₹26.95 crore and ₹23.35 crore net on its second Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

On December 4, a tragic incident unfolded at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, resulting in the death of a woman and the hospitalization of her young son in critical condition, following a stampede-like scenario during Arjun's attendance at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Subsequently, on December 13, the Telangana police apprehended him for allegedly failing to notify them of his visit. He was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on December 14. Additionally, the management of the theatre has been arrested in connection with the incident, and a show cause notice has been issued to them.

In a video shared with the media, he stated, “I have just seen Sri Tej in the ICU and have consulted with the medical team responsible for his care. The boy has shown gradual improvement over the past ten days, although the recovery process may take additional time. We are prepared to provide any necessary support to facilitate his healing.” Meanwhile, Arjun's legal representatives have advised him to refrain from visiting the family at this time.
