Pushpa 2, also known as Pushpa: The Rule, featuring Allu Arjun, has surpassed the 1000-crore milestone in domestic earnings, accumulating Rs 1029.9 crore in India over its 18-day theatrical run. While the film has exceeded Rs 1500 crore in global revenue, it is beginning to exhibit signs of a decline in box office performance. Nonetheless, it has established itself as one of the highest-grossing Indian films of the year.

Allu Arjun has taken center stage in the 2024 sequel, Pushpa 2, also known as Pushpa: The Rule, which has emerged as one of the most successful Indian films of the year, achieving remarkable box office results. As of 18 days post-release, the film has garnered an impressive Rs 1029 crore in India, with a collection of Rs 0.09 crore on its 18th day across all languages.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 stars Allu Arjun alongside Rashmika Mandanna, with Fahadh Faasil portraying the main antagonist. This film serves as a direct continuation of Sukumar's 2021 release, Pushpa: The Rise, and follows the journey of a red sanders smuggler who ascends to become the leader of the trade. The production is a collaboration between Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, featuring a supporting cast that includes Dhanunjay, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Ajay Ghosh.

Pushpa 2 OTT release date

The producers of Pushpa 2 have recently disclosed that the film's release on OTT platforms will occur no sooner than 56 days after its theatrical debut, suggesting that viewers can anticipate the streaming premiere of the Allu Arjun film towards the end of January. Netflix has secured the post-theatrical streaming rights for Pushpa 2.

It is important to mention that Pushpa 2 faced controversy following a tragic incident at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during its premiere, where a stampede resulted in the death of a woman and left her son severely injured. Allu Arjun was taken into custody but was released within a day.
