Director Puri Jagannadh and actor Vijay Sethupathi are joining forces for a new multilingual film, as announced by the producers on social media this Sunday in celebration of Ugadi. This project is expected to be a high-ambition commercial film, produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under the Puri Connects banner.

The collaboration marks the first time Vijay Sethupathi, who recently appeared in Viduthalai: Part 2, will work with Puri Jagannadh. The announcement coincided with the Ugadi festivities. The film, which is yet to be titled, is penned by Puri Jagannadh himself and is being financed by him alongside Charmme Kaur.

Filming is set to commence in June, and the movie will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Further details regarding the cast and crew will be revealed as the project progresses. This collaboration is particularly significant for Puri Jagannadh, as his previous two films, Double iSmart and Liger, did not perform well at the box office or receive favorable reviews, making this project crucial for his return to audience favor.

In addition to this new venture, Vijay Sethupathi is involved in several other projects, including Ace, which is written, produced, and directed by Arumuga Kumar under 7Cs Entertainment, featuring Rukmini Vasanth and Yogi Babu among others. He is also collaborating with director Mysskin on a film titled Train, with release dates for these films yet to be announced.
