Kalyani Priyadarshan will star opposite Naslen in her upcoming Malayalam film. The puja ceremony for the untitled movie was held today (September 12). Dominic Arun is directing this project, which is Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films. This is the seventh project of the actor's production house. Nimish Ravi, who has worked in Luca and Kurup, is handling the cinematography. Further details on the title of the film as well as cast members are expected in the coming days.

Naslen and Kalyani Priyadarshan's upcoming films

Naslen is playing a pivotal role in Khalid Rahman's directorial, which is touted to be a sports drama, and Girish AD's I Am Kathalan. The young star will also reprise his role as Sachin in the sequel of his 2024 box office hit, Premalu. The romantic drama is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar as well as Aha Telugu. 

Kalyani appeared in Vineeth Sreenivasan's recent directorial, Varshangalkku Shesham. The film, which also starred Dhyan Sreenivasan, Nivin Pauly, Pranav Mohanlal, and Basil Joseph, is streaming on Sony LIV in multiple languages, apart from Malayalam. The Shesham Mikeil Fathima star will now be seen playing the female lead in Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira with Fahadh Faasil. She also has a Tamil film titled Genie lined up for this year.

Dominic Arun's Tharangam on Sun NXT

Dominic Arun made his directing debut with Tharangam, which is currently available for streaming on Sun NXT. With Tovino Thomas and Balu Varghese as the key parts, this film belongs to the fantasy and dark comedy genres. As police officers, Papan and Joy typically carry out their duties casually and with a grin on their faces. When the two begin to look into Omana, a businessman's wife, the plot takes a turn towards unpredictable happenings and confusion. 

The film received accolades for its narrator, who skilfully combined an unusual dark comedy with romance, suspense, action, and emotions. In this movie, Unni Mukundan also had a cameo appearance.
