Naslen and Mamitha Baiju's Premalu has been making waves since the beginning of this year, being Malayalam cinema's unexpected hit of the year. The creators of this romantic comedy had also confirmed that there will be a sequel, which excited its fans. The film is reportedly scheduled to be released on huge screens during the Onam season next year. Filming is said to begin in January 2025 at several places across the UK. 

The ensemble will remain the same, as previously reported, and Bhavana Studio will produce this movie. By the end of this year, more information is anticipated.

With "more fun and energy," Girish AD, the director of Premalu had confirmed that the sequel will open in theatres in 2025. He went on to clarify that more details about the sequel have not yet been decided upon and would be made public gradually. Fan hypotheses on numerous social media sites regarding the sequel's plot and characters' outcomes appeared at the same time as the announcement of the sequel's makers. 

Karthika and were shown conversing on the phone in the Premalu 2 announcement video, indicating that their friendship is still going strong. In the video, Aadhi is seen receiving coconut water from Pambavaasan, who seems to be in charge of a coconut plantation at the moment. Thomas takes charge of his mother's fast-food restaurant, while Amal Davis has finally reached his IIT Roorkee lover. In the interim, Sachin is shown as a bartender, suggesting that he moved to the UK to further his studies and settle down, and that he now has a part-time job there.

Premalu on Disney+ Hotstar and Aha Telugu

Positive reviews have been given to the romantic comedy due of its impromptu humour and captivating story. Premalu has made a triumphant theatrical debut in Kerala and other states; it is currently accessible digitally. Aha offers the Telugu version, while Disney+ Hotstar streams the Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi versions.
