A major update about the Malayalam upcoming film, Pravinkoodu Shappu, has been unveiled. The film, starring Soubin Shahir and Basil Joseph, is all set to make its theatrical debut in Christmas this year. The project, which is touted to be a dark-humour drama, will hit the big screen on December 20, according to the latest reports. 

Sources claim that the theatre charting for the flick has begun in Kerala. In the upcoming days, further updates about this movie are anticipated. If released on the said time, Pravinkoodu Shappu is expected to run in theatres along with Dileep's 150th film and Asif Ali's Tiki Taka.

In this movie, Chemban Vinod will also have a significant part. Pravinkoodu Shappu's supporting cast includes Chandini Sreedharan, Shabreesh Verma, Niyas Bakker, Revathi, Vijo Amaravathi, Ramkumar, Sandeep, Sivajith Padmanabhan, and Pratapan K S. Sources claim that the movie's filming moved forward in a number of Thrissur and Ernakulam locations. With this film, Sreeraj Sreenivasan makes his directorial debut.

After working in Manjummel Boys, Shyju Khalid is in charge of the film's camera work. Vishnu Vijay, who is well-known for his works such as Falimy and Thallumala, composed the movie's original score and soundtracks. The editor is Shafeeq Muhammad Ali. The soundtracks have lyrics written by Mu.Ri. A R Ansar is the executive producer. The film is scheduled to be A&A Entertainment's release.

Soubin Shahir and Basil Joseph's films in 2024

This year, Soubin Shahir portrayed important roles in the films Nadikar, starring Tovino Thomas, and Manjummel Boys. Machante Maalakha, his other movie, has not yet been released in theatres. Basil Joseph had appearances in Nunakuzhi, Varshangalkku Shesham, and Prithviraj Sukumaran's Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil . This year, he is slated to direct his first Bollywood film, apart from acting in Sookshmadarshini, and Ajayante Randam Moshanam, two highly anticipated movies. Basil also did a role in the August 15 theatrical release of Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys.
