Following the success of Love Today, everyone was eager to see if Pradeep Ranganathan could create another hit. With his film Dragon, he did just that, delivering one of Tamil cinema's top-grossing films of 2025. Released in February, the movie has now made its way to Netflix after its time in theaters. Dragon features Anupama Parameswaran and Kayadu Lohar in leading female roles, alongside a talented cast that includes VJ Siddhu, Harshath Khan, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, KS Ravikumar, and more.

The film, written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu—who previously directed Oh My Kadavule (available on OTTplay Premium)—was inspired by a one-liner from Pradeep himself. At its core, Dragon is a coming-of-age story about a diligent and obedient boy who transforms into a rebellious student struggling with college backlogs. Years later, he faces an ultimatum: clear his academic debts or risk having his dishonest methods for achieving a lavish lifestyle exposed. Dragon has surpassed Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office and is produced by AGS Entertainment.

Everyone is eagerly anticipating Pradeep's upcoming movie, Love Insurance Kompany, directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film features a cast that includes Krithi Shetty, SJ Suryah, Gouri Kishan, and more. The release date hasn't been revealed yet.

The director kicked off his career with the fantasy romantic drama Oh My Kadavule, which you can stream on the OTTplay Premium app. The movie features Ashok Selvan and Ritika Singh in the main roles, while Vijay Sethupathi has a special cameo.
