A new teaser for Kannappa has been unveiled, offering a glimpse into the film's majestic mythological realm, featuring prominent actors such as Vishnu Manchu, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal, and Mohanlal.

The teaser was made public on Saturday. This clip provides an insight into the grand retelling of Thinnadu’s narrative, a valiant warrior who undergoes a significant transformation to become a devoted disciple of Lord Shiva.

The teaser, lasting over a minute, presents Vishnu Manchu in the role of Thinnadu, a courageous warrior. Confronted with the brutal realities of battle and the loss of his comrades, he begins to reevaluate his beliefs. The storyline centers on his evolution into a devoted follower of Lord Shiva.

Additionally, the teaser features Akshay Kumar portraying Lord Shiva and Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati. Mohanlal captivates as Kirata, while the concluding moments of the teaser highlight Prabhas’s appearance as Rudra. The teaser is accompanied by a powerful background score, dynamic action sequences, and impactful dialogues.

Recently, the film was presented to the media in Mumbai. Discussing the vision behind the project, director Mukesh Kumar Singh remarked, “Kannappa transcends mere storytelling; it serves as a tribute to faith, devotion, and the essence of transformation. Each frame has been carefully designed to bring this legendary narrative to life in a manner that resonates with contemporary audiences while honoring its origins. We are thrilled for the world to witness the magnificence of Kannappa.”

About the film

Kannappa is a mythological drama film based on the story of Bhakta Kannappa, a devoted disciple of Lord Shiva. The lead role will be portrayed by Vishnu Manchu, with Mohanlal and Prabhas in significant supporting roles. Akshay Kumar is set to depict Lord Shiva, while Kajal Aggarwal will assume the role of Goddess Parvati. The film, produced by M. Mohan Babu, was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024. Its theatrical release is planned for April 25, 2025.
