The official poster for the Hollywood film "The Deserving," starring Venkat Sai Gunda, has been released formally by the makers on Wednesday. 

Touted to be a psychological horror thriller, the story delves into societal issues, exploring themes of childhood trauma and parental care. Far from being a conventional thriller, "The Deserving" is an experimental blend of horror with a strong underlying message, making it a standout genre.

One of the film's most distinctive elements is its lead character, who is mute—a narrative choice that significantly amplifies the film's intensity. "The Deserving" has already garnered international recognition, winning numerous awards across various countries including France, Toronto, Sweden, Nepal, London, Nigeria, Berlin, Spain, New York, Cannes, Rome, and many more. The film is set to be screened in Barcelona, Spain, this September, further solidifying its global appeal.

Venkat Sai Gunda's performance in the film has been widely praised, earning him multiple 'Best Actor' awards on the international stage. The movie also received special mention at the 14th Dada Saheb Phalke Awards, highlighting its significance within the cinematic community.

"The Deserving" represents a significant milestone as the first Hollywood film produced and acted by a Telugu actor-filmmaker. 

Despite having no film background and hailing from a town Karimnagar in India, Venkat Sai Gunda’s passion for storytelling, along with the support of his friends Vismay Kumar Kothopally and Thirumalesh Gundrath, who co-produced the film, has led him to the remarkable achievement of producing a Hollywood Psychological Horror thriller film. In this project, Venkat has worn multiple hats, contributing both in front of the camera and behind the scenes in pre and post production.

The film is set for a worldwide release on October 1.
