Basil Joseph is riding high in his career right now, enjoying a string of successful projects. He’s currently putting his focus on acting and is collaborating with top production designer Jothish Shankar for his directorial debut, Ponman. This much-anticipated film, which is expected to be a comedy-drama, was initially set for a December 2024 release, but it’s now pushed to February 2025.

Ponman is based on the 2020 novel ‘Nalanchu Cheruppakar’ by GR Indugopan, who also co-wrote the script with Justin Mathew, known for his work on Minnal Murali.
