Parambrata Chatterjee – who has been working simultaneously in the Bengali and Hindi film industry – is currently shooting in Ahmedabad with Huma Qureshi. This will be their second project after their web series Mithya. The name of the film is Gulabi. The shooting is going on in Gujarat. It is directed by Vipul Mehta. Another Bengali actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya is in the film.

The film is produced by Jio Studios and the shooting started on April 14. This is a social comedy. Parambrata took to his social media to post a series of photos. He also revealed that he plays the character of an auto rickshaw driver in the film. “The heat in #ahmedabad is not fun, the shoot is, and the perks it brings along (like getting to drive a rickshaw). So Happy to be part of #gulabi,” he wrote in the caption.

Meanwhile, the actor also reposted a video of his lunch platter that had rice, roti, dal, and sabzi among other things. Terming it as shoot food, Huma and Parambrata also decided to find Bengali eateries in Ahmedabad. 

Regarding his experience working with Huma, Parambrata told Anandabazar Online, “We have a friendly relationship. Huma is a funny person.”

His film Hawa Bodol 2, starring Parambrata, Raima Sen, and Rudranil Ghosh, will be released soon. His other directorial, Ei Rat Tomar Amar, starring Anjan Dutta and Aparna Sen, will also be released later this year.
