Simone Ashley stars as the lead character in the upcoming British romantic comedy, Picture This. In this film, she portrays Pia, a struggling photographer who learns that she will encounter her true love among her next five dates. As her family and friends take on the role of matchmakers, her former partner, Charlie, played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin, reappears, seeking to rekindle their relationship. The film raises the question of whether he is her destined soulmate or if Pia will discover someone new. This premise encapsulates the vision of director Prarthana Mohan for a film that will be released directly on OTT platforms.

Picture This is headed to Amazon Prime Video

Picture This is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. The film, inspired by the Australian production Five Blind Dates, has been penned by Nikita Lalwani and is scheduled for release on March 6. A trailer has been unveiled, showcasing a talented ensemble cast that includes Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso), Nikesh Patel (London Has Fallen), Adil Ray (Citizen Khan), Sindhu Vee (Matilda: The Musical), Anoushka Chadha (You), Kulvinder Ghir (Bend It Like Beckham), and Luke Fetherston (Still Up), among others. Ashley gained recognition for her role in Bridgerton, while Fiennes Tiffin is known for his performances in After and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

The official synopsis of the film describes Pia as the owner of a struggling photography studio in London, operating alongside her best friend Jay (Luke Fetherston). Currently single and with no romantic prospects, Pia faces pressure from her mother Laxmi (Sindhu Vee) to find a partner, especially with her sister Sonal's (Anoushka Chadha) wedding approaching. A chance encounter with a spiritual guru leads to a prediction that she will meet her true love during her next five dates. Amidst family interference and a series of blind dates, Pia embarks on a humorous yet poignant journey in search of genuine love.
