Perusu, the newly launched Tamil film of 2025 featuring Vaibhav, Sunil, and others, is preparing for its debut on OTT platforms. As previously reported, Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for the film. On Friday, the streaming service revealed that Perusu is set to premiere on April 11. The film will be accessible in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, accompanied by English subtitles.

Perusu OTT release date: When and where to stream Tamil adult comedy drama

Perusu is a Tamil adult comedy-drama that premiered in theaters in March. In an era where films are increasingly addressing taboo subjects, Perusu stands out as a contemporary illustration. This A-rated adult comedy revolves around an elderly man, highly regarded in his village, who passes away with a post-mortem erection, complicating his family's efforts to hide this condition from the villagers and to carry out his funeral.

On Friday, Netflix revealed the streaming release date for the film Perusu, which will be available starting April 11 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film features Sunil and Vaibhav, who are brothers in real life, in the lead roles, alongside popular influencer Niharika NM making her debut, as well as Chandini, Deepa Shankar, Redin Kingsley, and Bala Saravanan, among others. Ilango Ram, who also directed the Sinhalese version titled Tentigo, is responsible for the film's writing and direction.

Perusu is produced by Stone Bench Films and Baweja Studios, with a technical team that includes cinematographer Sathya Thilakam, composer Arun Raj, and editor Sooriya Kumaraguru.

Hansal Mehta to remake Tentigo in Hindi

Shortly after the theatrical release of Tentigo, which premiered alongside Perusu, Hansal Mehta revealed his plans to create a Hindi remake of the film. Karan Vyas, known for his contributions to Hansal Mehta's Scam 1992, Scam 2003, and Scoop, will be responsible for adapting the screenplay into Hindi. Additionally, casting director Mukesh Chhabra will be making his debut as a producer.

Details regarding the cast and crew for the Hindi remake have yet to be disclosed.
