Perusu, the newly launched Tamil adult comedy-drama featuring Vaibhav, Sunil, and others, is now accessible for streaming. The film has made its debut on Netflix. Based on the Sinhalese film Tentigo, Perusu can be streamed in several languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The lead roles are played by Vaibhav, known for his work in Ranam Aram Thavarel, and Sunil.

Perusu now streaming: Tamil adult comedy-drama makes its OTT debut

The OTT rights for the 2025 Tamil film Perusu have been acquired by Netflix. After its theatrical release in March, the film is now available for streaming on the platform. Perusu is categorized as an adult comedy due to its central theme.

A reimagining of the Sinhalese film Tentigo, directed by Ilango Ram, Perusu sees the director taking on the same role in the Tamil adaptation. The narrative centers on the unexpected death of a highly esteemed elder in a village. However, his family faces shame in organizing his funeral due to the circumstances of his passing, which includes a post-mortem erection, and the increasing doubts among the villagers create additional challenges.

Brothers Vaibhav and Sunil Reddy portray siblings in their latest project. The supporting cast features well-known social media influencer Niharika NM, making her Tamil film debut, along with Chandini Tamilarasan, Deepa Shankar, Redin Kingsley, Bala Saravanan, VTV Ganesh, Karunakaran, Munishkanth, and others. The film, titled Perusu, is produced by Stone Bench Films, Baweja Studios, and Ember Light Studio.

Hansal Mehta is set to create a Hindi remake of Tentigo. Renowned for his works such as Scam 1992, Scam 2003, and Scoop, the filmmaker has not yet revealed the cast for this adult comedy. The production will be handled by Sahil Saigal and Mukesh Chhabra, with Karan Vyas adapting the screenplay into Hindi. Details regarding the release date and title are still pending from the production team.
