In Indian cinema, particularly in Tamil films, adult comedies and narratives addressing taboo subjects are quite uncommon. However, the recently launched film Perusu appears to challenge this trend. Rated for mature audiences, Perusu centres around an elderly man who passes away while experiencing a post-mortem erection, complicating his family's efforts to keep this situation hidden from the villagers and to proceed with his funeral.

The film was released in theatres on March 14, and Netflix has acquired the streaming rights for its post-theatrical release. Perusu is set to debut on Netflix following its time in theatres, with the exact OTT release date to be announced shortly.

Perusu features real-life siblings Sunil and Vaibhav in the principal roles, accompanied by a supporting cast that includes Niharika NM in her debut performance, along with Chandini, Deepa Shankar, Redin Kingsley, and Bala Saravanan, among others. The film is both written and directed by Ilango Ram, who has also produced a version in Sinhalese.

It is uncommon to find Tamil content addressing taboo subjects; however, "Sshhh" is a Tamil anthology that explores themes of sex and desire. This four-part film is available for streaming on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium at discounted rates.

The anthology consists of four segments titled "Kamathupaal," "Reload," "Vaanmathi," and "Eni Ellam." These segments cover a range of topics, from the significance of sex education to the expressions of lust and love among individuals from diverse backgrounds. "Sshhh" is directed by several filmmakers, including Prithivi Adithya, Vaali Mohan Das, Harish GY, and IB Karthikeyan, who is also producing the project under the Big Print Pictures banner.
