Pechi OTT release: Tamil horror film to stream on this platform soon

Pechi, the 2024 released horror film starring actors Gayathrie, Bala Saravanan and others, is all set to make its OTT debut very soon. The film will be made available on Aha Tamil, the streaming platform announced on social media recently. Alternatively, the film will also be made available on OTTplay Premium app which can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store.

Pechi is a 2024 Tamil horror film which released in theatres. Following its big screen run, the film will eventually be released on OTT. Aha Tamil has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film; it was recently announced. However, a release date for Pechi is yet to be revealed. The horror film will also be available on OTTplay Premium.

Written and directed by Ramachandran B, the film is backed by Gokul Benoy and Shaik Mujeeb, with Vignesh Selvarajan, Dhanishtan Fernando, Rajarajan Gnanasambandam, and Sanjai Shankar serving as co-producers, under the banners Veyilon Entertainment and Verus Productions.

The film revolves around a bunch of friends who decide to go trekking for a weekend trip. However, as they venture into the forest and cross a line that they are barred from, they tap an evil spirit who begins to haunt them. The rest of the film is about how they will survive the supernatural entity.

The film’s technical crew consists of music by Rajesh Murugesan and Parthiban D.F. Tech cranking the camera. Kumar Kangappan is the art director and Ignatious Aswin has worked on the edits. Apart from Gayathrie Shankar and Bala Saravanan, the rest of the cast includes Dev Ramnath, Preethi Nedumaran, Jana, Mageshwaran, Seeniammaal and others.

Pechi will be the newest addition to Aha Tamil’s catalogue. The platform has been acquiring post-theatrical digital rights of many Tamil films, including Mission: Chapter 1, horror thriller Devil, Santhanam's period comedy-drama Vadakkupatti Ramasamy, Birthmark, crime thriller Ranam Aram Thavarel, social drama Hot Spot, Boomer Uncle, The Boys, Veppam Kulir Mazhai, Vijay Antony's Romeo, Kurangu Pedal, Haraa, Sarathkumar-starrer Hit List and Arjun Das' mystery thriller Rasavathi.
