Average Student Nani is a low-budget Telugu film that has caught the attention of many as the film is directed, produced by and stars Pawan Kumar. His last film, Merise Merise, won the hearts of many, though it did not find box office success. The college drama is all set to hit screens on August 2, 2024.

On the eve of the film's release, Pawan Kumar spoke to us about the film and its outcome at the box office. Speaking about doing multiple jobs on this project, he says, "I worked on this project for the last few years. Initially, I wanted to cast someone else as the main lead, but as I loved the character and its graph, I decided to do it myself".

When asked to reveal more about his role, Pawan says that he plays a student who is very average in studies but when it comes to handling issues in life, he puts himself above others and goes all out to help others. "There is a very strong message given through this film, and my character has a lot of genuineness and it will inspire many," says Pawan.

Jhansi and Rajeev Kanakala play key roles in Average Student Nani

The film also has seasoned actors Jhansi and Rajeev Kanakala in key roles. Speaking about them, Pawan says that from the writing stages itself, he had them in mind, and he is extremely lucky to direct them in the film. "The father-son relationship is showcased in a superb manner in this film. The emotions that the parents go through to bring up kids are showcased in a superb manner," says Pawan.

Sahiba Bhasin and Sneha Malviya play the female leads in this film, and Pawan says that the heroines are not present just for the sake of it; they are shown in very powerful characters. "Though they are new, Sneha and Sahiba have done a great job, and I hope they will find many offers in Tollywood in the days to come," adds Pawan.

Average Student Nani is releasing on August 2, 2024, and Pawan says that his film will surely stand out as it has entertainment, action, and also a very unique subject that has not been tried before. "The BGM, visuals, action, and romance—my film has it all," ends Pawan Kumar.
