Since Pawan Kalyan entered the political arena and took on the role of Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, his fans have expressed concerns regarding the completion of his outstanding film projects. The film Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar, has appeared to be in a state of uncertainty since its announcement in 2022. Recently, there were discussions about the possibility of the film being abandoned. However, producer Ravi Shankar from Mythri Movie Makers has clarified that these rumors are unfounded.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh not shelved

In a recent press interview regarding the production house's extensive lineup for 2026, Ravi conveyed his enthusiasm. He highlighted several upcoming projects, including Jr NTR's collaboration with Prashanth Neel, Ram Charan's "Peddi" directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Prabhas' film with Hanu Raghavapudi, Rishab Shetty's "Jai Hanuman" with Prasanth Varma, and Vijay Deverakonda's project with Rahul Sankrityan.

Regarding Pawan Kalyan's film, he stated, "Kalyan garu's film is set to be released next year. The excitement surrounding his pan-India film will be unmatched. Harish Shankar garu has finalized the script, which is exceptional. We are currently awaiting Kalyan garu to provide us with dates. We aim to complete filming this year and ensure its release next year without fail." Fans expressed their delight upon learning that the film is still in production and not shelved.

Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming projects

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is a reimagining of Atlee's 2016 film Theri, which was recently remade in Hindi as Baby John. Throughout his career, Harish has adapted numerous films, including Dabangg, Jigarthanda, and Raid. It remains to be seen whether he will excel with Theri compared to his recent work with Mr. Bachchan.

Pawan is also involved in projects with directors Krish-Jyothi Krishna and Sujeeth, titled Hari Hara Veera Mallu and They Call Him OG. The actor has resumed work with HHVM, but he has yet to finish filming the other projects.
