The movie, featuring the ‘Janapriyanayakan’ of Malayalam cinema as the titular character Pavi, has received mixed responses from audiences and critics. The movie made an average opening at the box office earning around Rs. 1.2 crore on its release day, has made around Rs. 1 crore on its Day 2. It is clearly not an impressive figure for a film that is headlined by a popular star while considering the current box office trends of Malayalam cinema.

Pavi Caretaker box office prediction – First weekend

The unimpressive advance booking rates and lack of genuine word-of-mouth publicity suggest that Pavi Caretaker is going to have an average run at the box office, even on its first Sunday at theatres. In that case, the Dileep starrer might make around Rs. 1 to 1.2 crore even on its Day 2 at the theatres. The total box office collection of the first weekend, on the other hand, is expected to cross the Rs. 3.5 crore mark.

However, we will have to wait for the Vineeth Kumar directorial to complete its first Monday at the theatres, to know if the movie will manage to stay longer at the theatres.
