Pyaar Ka Punchnama is one of the successful film franchises of Luv Ranjan. This franchise featured actors like Kartik Aaryan, Sonnalli Seygall, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Sunny Singh, Divyenndu, and others. Recently, in an interview, actress Patralekhaa revealed that she had auditioned for Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. However, the actress was rejected for the second installment. The Bollywood actress revealed she felt bad when Luv said no to her face.
When Patralekhaa was rejected for Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2
In an interview with Mashable India, Patralekhaa revealed Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 makers needed two new faces apart from the original star cast. The actress auditioned for the role and felt she would get the part. She even got excited when Luv Ranjan called her to meet him at his office.
Patralekhha recalled she wore her 'best clothes' and went to Luv's office. She was expecting that Luv would break the good news about her getting a role in his film. But it didn't happen.
"He sat me down and no one was there, it was just me and him. In my mind, I thought that he will break the good news and people will come in with flowers, chocolates, and cakes. He said, ‘Yaar, yeh jaane de (Let this one go)’. At that moment, I felt really bad and thought, ‘How can he just call me and say no to my face, its not cool’," revealed Patralekhaa.
The actress was upset when Luv rejected her for Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. However, she later realized the importance of how the director conducted the interaction. "I went back home and it dawned upon me later that he gave me so much respect as an artist and actor," she recalled. While Luv rejected her for Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, the filmmaker promised to work with her in the future.
Patralekhaa's collaboration with Luv Ranjan
On the work front, Luv Ranjan collaborated with Patralekhaa. The actress featured in Wild Wild Punjab, which was backed by Luv's production venture Luv Films. The movie was released earlier this year on Netflix.
