We had previously reported that actor and filmmaker R Parthiban will be helming a film titled Teenz. The teen horror drama is now getting ready to hit theatres, with the film releasing on July 12. The team made an announcement by releasing a new poster of the film.

Teenz gets release date

Teenz is an upcoming Tamil film which will star a bunch of teenage actors along with Parthiban who is also directing the film. It is produced by Caldwell Velnambi, Dr Bala Swaminathan, Dr.Pinchi Srinivaasan, Ranjith Dhandapani and Radhakrishnan Parthiban under Bioscope Dreams LLP, and Akira Productions Pvt Ltd.

The film, which has been in the making for a while, has now announced its release date. Teenz will release on July 12 in theatres. It is to be noted that Teenz will clash with Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2, which is also going to release on the same day. The new poster shows Parthiban riding a motorcycle and donning an eye gear and leather jacket.

Teenz primary cast includes fresh faces like Prashitha Nazir, LA Rishe Rathnavel, Frankinsten, Deepesshwaran GS, Asmitha Mahadevan, KS Deepan, Udaipriyan K, Vishrutha Shiv, D John Bosco, Sylvensten, D Amruutha, Kritika Balasubramanian and Roshan, among others.

Teenz is touted to be a horror thriller drama. The music for Teenz is composed by D Imman and the film has been shot by cinematographer Gavemic Ary. Parthiban last directed the 2022 experimental film Iravin Nizhal. The single shot film, which also stars him, is currently available for streaming on Prime Video.

Parthiban’s daughter and former child artist Keerthana Parthiepan Akkineni has served as the creative producer of Teenz. R Sudarshan has edited the film, with Parthiban penning the lyrics.

Earlier, it was reported that Teenz had set a new record for having its first look unveiled in theatres with a censorship certificate. The World Records Union officials had given Parthiban and other members of the film crew the certificate for this accomplishment in Chennai.
