After the success of the first season of Parambrata Chatterjee’s Parnashavarir Shaap, Hoichoi officials took no time to announce the second season— a paranormal thriller. However, the new edition of Bhaduri Moshai’s adventure will have a new title, Nikosh Chhaya. According to sources, this is a working title. The shooting that started last month is still ongoing. 

Bhasuri Moshai is back with old and new characters

Furthermore, Chiranjeet Chakraborty will be back as Bhaduri Moshai. The recurring cast members — Surangana Bandyopadhyay, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Arna Mukhopadhyay, and Anindita Bose — are also there in the new season as Mitul, Amiya, Pallab, and Titas. However, this time, there are a few new actors for new roles. According to sources, Kanchan Mullick will play a key character in this series. Besides, Lojja-actor Anujoy Chatterjee will also be seen in a key role. 

Parnashavarir Shaap was released during Bhoot Chaturdoshi last year. According to sources, Nikosh Kalo will also be released during that time. It is the official adaptation of Souvik Chakraborty’s popular book series. 

Meanwhile, Parambrata’s other directorial work, Ei Raat Tomar Amar, was scheduled for a theatrical release on August 30. It was supposed to be released in Hoichoi in September. However, due to the tumultuous protest against the RG Kar rape and murder incident, the releases of several films, including Parambrata’s Ei Raat Tomar Amar, got postponed. The film features Aparna Sen and Anjan Dutt. 

Parambrata schools Kanchan Mullick

Parambrata has been vocal about the ongoing movement that shook Kolkata. Earlier, when Kanchan made a sweeping statement on protesting doctors accepting government pay, Parambrata voiced his opinion. On social media, he wrote that he expected better from Kanchan since they have known each other for a long time. He further stated that while the ruling party has been bringing in many celebrities from different walks of life, it should also take the responsibility to teach politics to them.
