Dev Mohan, the Sufiyum Sujatayum fame actor is teaming up with debutant filmmaker Arjun Ramesh, for his next outing in Malayalam cinema. The movie, titled Parakramam, has been slated to be released on November 22, 2024. The cast and crew members of the film recently took to their official social media handles and dropped the Prakaramam trailer, ahead of the film’s theatrical release. The promising trailer suggests that the Dev Mohan starrer is an interesting coming-of-age film.

Parakramam trailer is out

The 1.47-minute-long Parakramam trailer opens with a scene, in which a father, played by Renji Panicker, explains his task – solving his son’s problems in just one night. The son, played by Dev Mohan, is a happy-go-lucky college student who gets into trouble so often and is heavily controlled by his over-protective mother, played by Sangitha. He is also seen falling in love with his childhood friend Anupama, who returns to their hometown after many years and fails to recognize him.

The Parakramam trailer gets into the action mode soon, after the protagonist locks horns with a powerful gang, who even threatens him to leave the college. Following this, the young man’s life changes upside down, and he decides to take matters into his own hands, with the support of his father. From the trailer, it is safe to assume that Arjun Ramesh’s film is going to be a fun campus-based film with ample doses of action, romance, humour, and drama.

Dev Mohan, the talented actor is finally set to play a boy-next-door character in films, after essaying a series of intense characters. Parakramam also marks the actor’s first step into the world of light, fun, commercial entertainers. Renji Panicker and Sangitha, who play the protagonist’s parents in the film, seem to have author-backed roles. Vaazha actors, including Siju Sunny, Joemon Jyothir, and Amith Mohan Rajeshwari are seen in pivotal roles in the film, which stars Sona Olickal as the female lead.
