With the forthcoming Malayalam movie Pani, Joju George will be directing his first film. According to recent reports, the movie will be hitting the big screen in September, during the Onam season. If released on the said time, the film will be running in theatres along with Tovino Thomas’ Ajayante Randam Moshanam and Antony Varghese Pepe’s Kondal. Pani anticipates having more screens during the holiday season, particularly in light of the postponement of Mohanlal-starrer Barroz's premiere.

All about Joju George’s Pani

On May 27, during the Malayalam reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6, the movie's first poster was revealed. The actor and director revealed to the contestants in the house that the primary theme of the film is centred on the lead character seeking revenge for two distinct situations. "I was uncertain initially because I would lose a lot of money making this movie, so I struggled for almost a year. I had not worked on any films for a year because of this project', Joju said on the well-known reality show.

On May 28, the producers unveiled the first-look motion poster. There were no more updates following the release of the poster, despite expectations that the film would soon be released in theatres. Pani's filming was completed in February. Abhinaya, Sagar Surya, and Junaiz are also featured prominently in this film. Sujith Shanker, Alexander Prasanth, Abhayaa Hiranmayi, Seema, Chandhini Sreedharan, Babu Namboothiri, Ranjith Velayudhan, and Bitto Davis make up the supporting cast of the film.

Release of Barroz postponed again?

Barroz is a 3D fantasy movie that Mohanlal started filming in 2021. The project is slated to be his directorial debut. However, the coronavirus pandemic and numerous lockdowns caused the much-awaited project to be postponed several times. Barroz was originally scheduled to open as an Onam special in theatres in September, but the release date has been rescheduled. In a few days, an official statement regarding the same is anticipated.
