The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Panchayath Jetty, revealed an update about its theatrical release. The comedy drama, starring the popular sitcom Marimayam’s cast, will hit the big screens on July 26. If released on the said date, the movie will be running in theatres along with Siju Wilson’s Pushpaka Vimanam and Asif Ali’s Level Cross. A trailer or teaser of the film is expected in the coming days. Mohanlal’s Devadoothan is having a re-release on the same day.

Cast and crew of Panchayath Jetty

The television favourites of Malayalis, Niyas Backer, Rachana Narayanankutty, Sneha Sreekumar, Unni Raj, Vinod Kovoor, and Mani Shornur, are prominently featured in Panchayath Jetty. In addition to them, Pauly Valsan, Kulappully Leela, Arun Punalur, Resmi Anil, and fifty other actors play significant roles in the movie.

Govind Films and Saptatha Rang Creations Private Limited are the film's sponsors. The film's music was composed by Ranjin Rai, with lyrics written by Santosh Verma, and cinematography is handled by Krish Kaimal. Filming for Panchayath Jetty started in December of last year, following a launch event in Kochi. Cherai has served as the backdrop for filming.

Marimayam streaming on Manorama Max

Because Panchayath Jetty features every member of the cast of the hit Malayalam television series Marimayam, it has garnered a lot of attention. The show, which can be watched on Manorama Max, features hilarious depictions in each episode that highlight commonplace situations seen at government offices and social struggles encountered by individuals every day. 

Due in large part to its humorous and realistic portrayal, Marimayam is the only television programme to have won the Kerala State Television Awards five times in a row under the category of Best Comedy Show. With each lasting 25 minutes, it has already surpassed 700 episodes. For the Malayalam film industry, the sitcom, which debuted in 2011, also produced new comedians and actors.
