The collaboration between Sajin Gopu and Anaswara Rajan for the film titled Painkili has taken many by surprise. While only posters featuring whimsical one-liners have been released thus far, details about the forthcoming Malayalam film remain scarce. Recently, the producers have provided a sneak peek into the realm of Painkili through a trailer that exudes a distinct eccentricity and an element of unpredictability.

The Painkili trailer opens with a discussion among individuals regarding a person suffering from mental illness, during which his mother expresses that no one can truly comprehend her situation. The scene transitions to Anaswara Rajan, who is depicted descending from a pole. Her intention appears to be one of escape, as she dismisses the idea of eloping following her experience of falling in love.

A different girl subsequently offers her insights on the various stages of falling in love, as the protagonist embarks on her quest for romance by refining her smile and posture.

Additional characters, including Chandu Salimkumar and Riyas Khan, join the narrative as Sajin Gopu becomes immersed in a whimsical realm.

Anaswara Rajan, previously seen in a more restrained role in the recent successful film Rekhachithram, fully embraces her character in Painkili. Awkward movements and exaggerated expressions appear to be characteristic of the vibrant world of Painkili, which has truly unleashed its characters.

Sajin Gopu, who charmed audiences as Ranganna's Amban in the Fahadh Faasil film Aavesham, seems to be delving into a new dimension of eccentricity in this production.

The trailer prominently features the esteemed director Lijo Jose Pellissery, who contributes to the trailer's distinctive and eccentric atmosphere.

Starring Anaswara Rajan and Sajin Gopu, this film is produced by Jithu Madhavan, known for his work on Aavesham, alongside Fahadh Faasil. Directed by Sreejith Babu, this Malayalam film is poised to tell an extraordinary story.

Painkili is set to premiere in theaters on February 14, 2025. Additionally, two other Malayalam films will be released on Valentine's Day in Kerala, enhancing the festive spirit. The action film Daveed, featuring Antony Varghese Pepe, and Bromance, starring Arjun Ashokan, will also vie for attention alongside Anaswara Rajan and Sajin Gopu's Painkili at the box office.
