As the film approaches its seventh anniversary, the producers have opted to re-release Padmaavat in cinemas. Today, the producers officially announced the date for the film's re-release.
Padmaavat re-release date revealed!
Viacom18 Studios has officially announced the re-release date of Padmaavat via social media platforms. Enthusiastic fans of the film will have the opportunity to experience this grand narrative once more on January 24, 2025. Notably, this re-release occurs just one day prior to the seventh anniversary of the film's initial debut.
In promoting the re-release, the producers shared a poster of Padmaavat with the caption: "Experience the epic tale on the big screen once again. Padmaavat in cinemas on 24th January (sic)." For those unfamiliar with the film, Deepika Padukone portrayed the character of Rani Padmavati, while Shahid Kapoor took on the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh. Additionally, Ranveer Singh played the part of Alauddin Khilji.

In a previous interview with Scroll, Ranveer Singh discussed his portrayal of Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat. The actor remarked, "What truly resonated was the synergy between Mr. Bhansali and myself as we embraced the character. I cannot deny that I found immense enjoyment in the process. I established a foundation for the character, and on set, Mr. Bhansali would contribute additional layers, while I would also infuse my own ideas. Our collaboration was centered on the joy of creating this distinctive character within the landscape of contemporary cinema, particularly for a leading man."
