Malayalam actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan's newest film, Oru Jaathi Jathakam, is set to be available for streaming on two OTT platforms at the same time. Directed by M Mohanan and written by Rakesh Mantodi, the film premiered in theaters during the last week of January, following the postponement of Mohanlal's Thudarum release to May.
Featuring prominent performances by Kayadu Lohar, Indu Thampy, Nikhila Vimal, and Chippy Devassia, this film is a full-fledged comedy that has garnered attention for its humorous portrayal of the LGBTQIA community.

Manorama Max had previously announced its acquisition of the OTT rights for the comedy film, but recent reports indicate that the movie will also be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. "Oru Jaathi Jathakam" is scheduled to begin streaming on both platforms starting March 14. Unlike other Malayalam films on Prime Video, this particular release will be offered exclusively in its original language.
The narrative centers on a 37-year-old man residing in Chennai, who is eager to marry but struggles to find a suitable partner due to his stringent criteria, which may deter any modern woman. When he finally meets someone who seems to fit the bill, unexpected challenges arise, complicating matters for both him and his family. The central question of the plot is whether he can overcome these obstacles and emerge as a transformed individual with a newfound respect for women. This comedy entertainer also features performances by PP Kunhikrishnan and Babu Antony.
Vineeth Sreenivasan’s upcoming films in 2025
Vineeth has completed filming his scenes for Dileep’s forthcoming movie, Bha. Bha. Bha, which features his brother Dhyan Sreenivasan in a significant role. Additionally, it has been reported that Mohanlal will appear in an extended cameo in the film, which has one more shooting schedule remaining.
Furthermore, Vineeth has initiated the pre-production phase for his next directorial project, which includes segments filmed in Georgia. This upcoming film is anticipated to be an action-thriller.
