Vidaamuyarchi, the highly anticipated Tamil film featuring actor Ajith Kumar in the principal role, is scheduled to premiere in theatres on February 6. Following numerous delays, advance ticket sales commenced on Sunday, February 2, across various cities.

Vidaamuyarchi online bookings begin: Ajith Kumar’s film sees soaring ticket sales

Vidaamuyarchi is set to make its long-awaited debut in theatres after considerable delays. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the film is scheduled for release on February 6, with advance ticket sales already underway. Online platforms such as BookMyShow and District have commenced ticket bookings for this Ajith Kumar feature.

As of the current moment, Vidaamuyarchi has achieved approximately 4,150 ticket sales on BookMyShow. While only matinee shows have been made available in most theatres across Tamil Nadu thus far, additional theatres are expected to open for bookings shortly. It is anticipated that Tamil Nadu will not offer early morning screenings, unlike its neighbouring states of Karnataka and Kerala. However, screenings are expected to commence from 9 a.m. onwards, pending approval from the state government. Vidaamuyarchi will have a solo release in Tamil Nadu, positioning it as the primary attraction in theatres, bolstered by the substantial fan following of Ajith Kumar throughout the state.

Vidaamuyarchi plot, runtime, and OTT release

The action thriller film, with a duration of two hours and 34 minutes, features Ajith Kumar and Trisha in the principal roles. The narrative centres on a couple embarking on a road trip, during which the wife mysteriously disappears, leading to a series of unforeseen events.

Produced under the Lyca Productions banner, Vidaamuyarchi also includes performances by actors Arjun, Regina Cassandra, and Nikhil Nair, among others. The musical score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical digital rights for Vidaamuyarchi, and the film will be available on the streaming platform following its theatrical release.
