What is Officer Black Belt all about?

Officer Black Belt sees Woo-bin in the role of Lee Jung-do, who is a delivery guy delivering chicken for his father's restaurant. He plays video games at the internet cafe and goes out for drinks with his friends.

But, Jung-do is leading a dual life. An expert at martial arts with the highest rank in taekwondo, kendo, and judo, he acts instinctively and tries to save anyone from trouble. One day, he comes across a probation officer being attacked. While Jung-do manages to save the officer, he has to now work as his replacement. As expected, he is great at the job and is offered to work full-time. The action-comedy film sees a lot more emotions unfold as the movie progresses.

Apart from Kim Woo-bin, Kim Sung-kyun and Kim Yool-ho are a part of the Netflix release. Sung-kyun plays Jung-do's senior, Kim Seo-min. Yool-ho, on the other hand, appears to be the officer who is on a break.

Kim Woo-bin’s other projects

Kim Woo-bin was seen in the Netflix original series Black Knight, released in 2023. His previous film was Alienoid, a sci-fi thriller which received mixed reactions. Although the film was the ninth highest-grossing movie of 2022, it was a Box Office dud because of the high production cost in comparison to the collections.

Woo-bin got popular owing to his stint in A Gentleman’s Dignity (2012), followed by the series, School 2013 and The Heirs (both released in 2013). He consequently appeared in movies like Friend: The Great Legacy, The Con Artists and Twenty, all of which were Box Office hits. The actor found his first lead role in Uncontrollably Fond, which released in 2016. The actor was on a hiatus for three years since was diagnosed with cancer. After battling it, he started working on-screen again since 2020.
