Nova is finally confirmed! There has been a loud buzz around the Marvel Cinematic Universe for years now because every project they develop has a whole lot of anticipation attached to it. Whether it is good or not is kept for the release date but the anticipation is always high. For the past many months we have been discussing Deadpool & Wolverine, Avengers 5, Secret Wars, X-Men Reboot, The Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man 4 at length and there have been gazillion rumors and speculations about them.
But there are also more projects that the studio has been working on but haven't gotten much limelight. One such mysterious project has been Nova, which has been in the making as per rumors for quite some time. Turns out Kevin Feige has now confirmed that it is a series and also revealed more details about it. Read on to know everything about the same.
Nova to Be a Disney+ Show
For the uninitiated, Nova is one of the most powerful Cosmic beings in the world of Marvel comics. While we have seen Nova Corps at many junctures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has never made it to the live-action world. As per reports, there were plans to bring him in Avengers: Infinity War but it did not happen. James Gunn has even explained why he did not feel it right to add Nova to the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise where there was ample room to bring him in. For months we have been hearing about how there is a project in place. Now Kevin Feige has answered the biggest questions around it.
As per Comicbook, Kevin Feige has decided to raise the curtain from one of the most secretively developed projects in the MCU. The Marvel boss has confirmed that Nova will be a series developed for Disney+. This confirmation comes as a relief for fans of the character. But that is not all; the Marvel president has also confirmed that they are already developing it and it will be the Richard Rider variant of Nova. But what is shocking is the wait. Feige confirmed that it is not coming at least in the next three years.
When asked what is happening with Nova, Kevin Feige was quick to say, "It's happening, it's coming together. Richard Rider, yep." Further, when he was quizzed on the format—whether it will be a movie or a show—Feige said, "A show, yeah, yeah." Next, he shared a shocking update that makes the wait for the show much longer than any of us must have thought. "It's three or four years out,” Kevin said while talking about when to expect it.
