While Bollywood is currently coming with multiple franchises, one of the most popular and successful franchises in the Hindi film industry is Race. While the last installment of the movie 'Race 3' has Salman Khan as the leading man, the first and the second parts of the film starred Saif Ali Khan in the lead. Now the latest report reveals that Race 4 is in the works and reports also reveal who will star in the upcoming film. Read on for all the details! 

Saif Ali Khan to return to the Race franchise with Race 4

According to reports by Pinkvilla, Saif Ali Khan is all set to return to the Race franchise after being absent from the third installment. The report reveals that the Sacred Games actor has been in talks with Ramesh Taurani for some time now and now the duo has decided to reboot the franchise with the fourth film in the franchise. 

Further, talking about the shooting details of the film, the source tells the portal that the film will go on floors in the first quarter of 2025. "The actor has agreed in principle and is excited to get into the world of Race again. Ramesh Taurani is aiming to take the film on floors in the first quarter of 2025,” the source revealed. 

“While the basic plot of Race 4 is locked, the team is presently working on the screenplay. Apart from Saif Ali Khan, a big ensemble will come on board and the casting is also underway. The makers are also looking to reboot it by getting in a fresh and credible voice to direct the film,” the source added.

About Race franchise

Released in the year 2008, the first installment of the franchise was headlined by Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu, and Anil Kapoor. Race 2 was then released in 2013 and starred Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Ameesha Patel. Race 3 starred Salman Khan alongside Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, and Jacqueline Fernandez. While the first two installments were directed by Abbas-Mastan the third installment was helmed by Remo D’Souza.
