The trailer, which was released a few days ago, showed a glimpse of the heart-warming story of a man who prepares himself for a life-changing surgery. Although his family and friends support him, it is his inner battle and the idea of being quiet that he is constantly trying to deal with. Who was Shoojit Sircar's first choice for I Want To Talk?
During an appearance on the Cyrus Says podcast, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar revealed that not Abhishek Bachchan but the late actor Irrfan Khan was his first choice for I Want To Talk.
He shared, "It was supposed to be Irrfan but Abhishek also came quite close to that. Very satisfied with his performance."
He also revealed that the late actor was supposed to play the lead role in Sardar Udham. Sircar said, "But it was unfortunate. Then I asked him… And at one point, I decided to shelve the project also. I said I would not do it and then I went spoke to to Irrfan. I asked him ‘Irrfan…’. He said ‘Dada, please don’t. You must do this film, this is your baby’. And that’s how Vicky Kaushal happened and I went ahead."

During an earlier interaction with PTI, Shoojit Sircar spoke about I Want To Talk. He shared that it is a very simple observation of life with a little smile. When he watches the film, during its post-production, it brings a smile to his face.
"I can guarantee that it is one of the finest of Abhishek Bachchan’s films. We always wanted to work together but we were not getting the right kind of script," he added.
Meanwhile, I Want To Talk will hit the big screens on November 22, 2024.
